PEAK Host International Health Expert Professor Dame Carol Black

PEAK was privileged to host one of the world's leading health experts, Professor Dame Carol Black in Melbourne earlier this year.
Professor Dame Carol Black (UK) is the National Director for Health and Work, Chairman of the Nuffield Trust, President of the British Lung Foundation, and Pro-Chancellor of the University of Bristol. She is a past-President of the Royal College of Physicians, and immediate past-Chair of the Academy of Medical Royal Colleges. The Centre she established at the Royal Free Hospital, London is internationally renowned in the field of connective tissue diseases.
Since the early-1990s she has worked at board level in a number of organisations, including the Royal Free Hospital Hampstead NHS Trust, the Health Foundation, the NHS Institute for Innovation and Improvement, and the Imperial College Healthcare Charity, and recently chaired the UK Health Honours Committee. She is a Trustee of the National Portrait Gallery, a member of the Committee for the Queen's Awards for Voluntary Service, chairs the governance board of the new Centre for Workforce Intelligence, and is on several national committees aiming to improve healthcare. She is a Foreign Affiliate of the Institute of Medicine USA, and has been awarded many honorary degrees and fellowships.
The intimate session was well received by all in attendance as she highlighted her recent work with the UK government around sickness absence.
PEAK GM Speaks at Worksafe Tasmania Forum

PEAK’s General Manager, Mr Chris Rabba was invited to speak at the Worksafe Tasmania Forum on the topic or corporate wellness. It was a great opportunity to showcase PEAK’s capability and geographic footprint.
Worksafe Tasmania launched their Corporate Wellbeing Advisors on the day who are keen to work closely with PEAK on various corporate health initiatives.
PEAK GM Speaks at Qantas Safety Conference

PEAK Health Management's General Manager, Mr Chris Rabba was invited to speak at the 2011 Qantas Safety Conference on the topic of corporate wellness. The presentation highlighted the efficacy and methodology of implementing a successful corporate wellness strategy.
The session was well attended with over 100 participants from within Qantas' health & safety area nationally.
At the conference, PEAK was announced as a preferred partner of Qantas in the health & wellness space with Qantas CEO Mr Alan Joyce highlighting the importance of health & wellness in his opening address.
Medical Advisory Panel & Clinical Governance Committee for PEAK

Bupa Australia today announced its continued commitment to the health of corporate Australia through the purchase of one of the largest and most successful corporate wellness businesses in the country, PEAK Health Management.
This landmark acquisition marks a significant move by Bupa Australia in the corporate wellness market; a sector with enormous growth potential as more and more companies recognise the long-term benefits to the bottom-line of having a healthy workforce.
The high-quality services delivered by PEAK will now be supported by one of the nation's largest healthcare companies, Bupa Australia, which operates leading private health insurance brands MBF, HBA and Mutual Community.
In making the announcement, Bupa Australia's Managing Director, Richard Bowden, said the acquisition of PEAK reaffirmed Bupa's commitment to positively impact the lives of millions of people in the workplace.
